What is Tulsi?
Tulsi, or Holy Basil, is a plant so versatile in its healing powers that Indians have long considered it sacred. In one ritual called Tulasi, Vivaha people witness the ceremonial marriage of the adaptogenic herb to the Hindu god Vishnu, or to his avatar Sri Krishna. This ancient Tulsi wedding brings Hindus to the end of the monsoon season and the beginning of the wedding season.
Tulsi, the queen of the Ayurvedic landscape, is the Incomparable One, the granter of health and renewal that nature has imbued with a cornucopia of healing qualities recognized for more than 5,000 years and now verified by modern science.

I am an integrative physician and I tested this on my patients. It helps the adrenals quite well and has high quality as it has helped patients more than other adrenal supplements I've tested.

Review by George on 24 Feb 2020review stating I would buy this product again and again and again.
I discovered after receiving "Tulsi - Holy Basil" capsules that the product has a Warning (CA Prop 65) that the product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. The specific chemicals are not mentioned. Possibly I should not use the product often.
Review by Gfog on 20 Nov 2021review stating Great for Anxiety
I love the Tulsi tea, which has helped a lot when I was feeling stressed, so I decided to try the capsules. These have become part of my daily regimen and have helped significantly with my occasional anxiety. I highly recommend!!’
Q: Your Tulsi Holy Basil capsules says to take 3 capsules once daily. I remember years ago it used to say 1-2 capsules, twice a day. Is there a reason why it should not be taken twice a day anymore and 3 capsules once instead?

A: Hi Brenda, Our recommended dosages are meant to optimally support the masses, as we cannot profess to have knowledge of highly unique individuals’ health status and current protocols. Individuals’ bodies take greatly varying times to process supplements due to vast and unique differences in digestion, body weight, general health, and constitutions, amongst many other considerations. We recommend working with your doctor or Ayurvedic practitioner for individualized dosages and to create a health plan that is suited to your needs.

Q: Good evening,
Why is there a California residence: prop, 65 warning on the Tulsi holy basil capsules, but not on the tea bags? Wouldn’t the contaminants be the same in both products if it’s coming from the same soil? Also, is this warning referring to just lead or all heavy metals including nickel? (I have a food allergy to ingested nickel.)
Thanks for your explanation.

A: Hello Catia, Thank you for your question regarding why we have a Prop 65 warning on supplements and not infusions. As per regulations, tea bags are hot water “extractions,” so the consumer is not ingesting the entire herb like they do when they ingest supplements. Heavy metals are the last constituent to be “extracted” due to their weight, hence why teas are not subject to Prop 65; and why other supplements in herbal extract form also do not have a Prop 65. For context, all plants, even those grown organically, naturally absorb minerals from the soil including lead. We include the Prop 65 warning label on our products to ensure compliance with the California law that requires labeling when lead is present, even when that level is 1,000 times less than the level that has been shown to cause harm. In general, only certain product categories are required to have this labeling.
Rest assured, as a USDA certified organic company, we never use synthetic chemicals that would contribute to lead in the soil, and we thoroughly test every batch of our herbs in accordance with the American Herbal Products Association’s (AHPA) standards for heavy metals.

Q: After I brew this loose leaf tea in my press pot, I notice small round white balls of a slimy substance with a small hard core stuck to the screen. Just curious as to what this is because it is not there before I brew it - and it looks disgusting! Fortunately the press pot filter traps all the little slime globs so I do not drink them. Otherwise I love the tea and drink it every day. Great product - I make butter tea with it. Just curious.
