Organic Iced Tea with Peach and Basil Recipe
Robust, full-bodied, and blissfully malty, our ORGANIC INDIA Single Origin, Regenerative Organic Certified® Purely Assam Black Tea is more than a bold brew—it’s a tea purist’s dream. With 50 mg of caffeine per serving, roughly half the amount of caffeine in coffee, it’s a perfect energizer to start or boost the day, without the sharp drop or jitters. What could be better? Well, not much, but since we’re rolling into the hottest months, enjoying Assam Black over ice is a must. And, why not add a layer of brightness with a splash of one of summer’s most signature flavors?
Peach in Black Tea
Plump, fragrant, juicy, and adorably just a bit fuzzy, peaches are about as quintessential a part of summer as sunshine. Popular peach iced tea is a staple among major bottled brands. For the best in quality and flavor, tailored to taste, however, making your own is a breeze—and you get to avoid all the excess sugar commonly mixed in. Peach puree melds marvelously with our ORGANIC INDIA Assam Black tea, lending sweet, fruity notes; adding frozen sliced peaches and fresh, savory basil brings this simple, beautiful beverage next level sophistication.
While a more traditional way to infuse peach flavor into iced tea would be to make a simple syrup, our ORGANIC INDIA Single Origin Teas sing with purity, and we can’t help but lean into the feeling. Fresh peach puree blended with just a little water is really all you need. You don’t even have to strain before adding the puree to the tea, though we do recommend peeling the peaches.
Organic Iced Peach Black Tea Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 Organic India ROC™ Purely Assam Black Tea Bag
- 1 Cup of Water
- 2-3 Ripe Peaches
Method
- First, prepare the tea:
- For hot-brewed, steep 1 Organic India Purely Assam Black Tea per 1 cup of boiled water for 5-10 minutes for a rich, deep flavor. Remove tea bags, transfer tea to a pitcher, cover, and refrigerate.
- For cold-brewed, place 2 Organic India Purely Assam Black Tea Tea bags per 1 cup of water in a pitcher. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Next, prepare the puree:
- Peel, pit, and coarsely chop 2-3 ripe peaches. This will give you enough puree for approximately four iced teas.
- Place the peaches in a blender with 1/4 to ½ cup water. Blend until smooth, adding water or a little lemon juice as needed.
- If desired you can press the puree through a fine-mesh strainer, but this is optional.
- Add directly to a pitcher of chilled Assam Black tea or mix well by stirring with a spoon or shaking in a cocktail shaker per serving. The puree will separate if left a little while, so be sure to stir just before enjoying as needed.
- To serve, pour the tea mixture into glasses filled with ice. Add frozen peach slices and fresh basil leaves for deeper flavor and garnish.
